Laser Therapy

Low–level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) is a very effective, non-invasive treatment method used to alleviate pain and decrease inflammation. Light therapy is performed with low-level lasers that emit energy to the body in the form of non-thermal photons of light. The light penetrates through the skin’s layers, optimizing the immune responses of the blood. Similar to the way non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs – Advil, Aleve) decrease inflammation at the injury site, LLLT targets the part of the body that is experiencing pain and supplies oxygen and energy to the cells.

One amazing benefit with Laser Light Therapy is that it reportedly has no side-effects, unlike NSAIDs, which can damage the liver when taken in excessive amounts.  The procedure lasts approximately 15-30 minutes and 75-80% of patients report a noticeable relief immediately following the treatment.
